Hao Nguyen
Co-Founder & President

Hao is a Vietnamese immigrant with a commitment to creating opportunities for rural communities in Vietnam.  She has studied the role of non profits in development while in India, Brazil, and South Africa. She later worked with the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence, where she worked with Christopher for the first time.

Hao has worked as a nonprofit sector research analyst for McKinsey & Company, a top international management consulting firm, where she helped domestic and international non profits understand their markets and formulate strategies. She has also worked with the Wellesley Centers For Research On Women, where she helped change the way the government reports on violence in schools.

It is her strong dedication to making resources available for people in developing countries, and women in particular, which influenced her decision to create the Vietnam Learning Association. Her focus is on leveraging the library into a community resource which will provide critical services as well as books.

A Wellesley College graduate, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and is currently an analyst in the Domestic Health division of Abt Associates.
